It’s showtime!

Thrilled to announce that Maidenheads most marvellous shop has offered to stock my drawings on a permanent basis. Queen of Cool Francesca Hennessy has loaned me a 180cm x 150cm expanse of wall in her beautiful boutique 'Two for Joy' and invited me to hang whichever portraits I think best. I've kicked off with a bold mix from my new range and will be changing them according to the season. Watch that space art lovers :-)continue reading →

“Worstest day of my life!” announces 7 year old taken on ‘adventure’ by parents

Easter Sunday dawned grey, cold and wet - the sort of weather for staying at the fireside, playing board games in your velour lounge suit . But where I come from, you just can't enjoy that level of comfort unless you've really earned it. Preferably in the fresh air. Cue a quick consultation of the Child Friendly Cycle Ride Handbook. To butter up the opposition, Sweeting's Greetings salutes these two sporting stoics: Kazmeister Woolland - who's always happy to turn up and thrash me 6 games to nil, whatever the weather - and Emilio Whiteheadster who joined me on court for…continue reading →

Children should be seen and not heard

...as my Great Uncle Everard used to say.  If you agree with him you'll love SG's new range of portraits for the younger generation.  They look splendid on the living room wall - and they don't answer back.  continue reading →
If life gives you lemons…

If life gives you lemons…

...don't bother using them as paperweights in an impromptu photo shoot on your neighbour's front stoop. They roll about on purpose, just to get in the way - and they cast surprisingly large shadows all over the money shot. I'll use bananas next time.continue reading →
