The KS2 curriculum asks us to work with shape and colour.
But confronted with a blank canvas, any artist can feel confounded.
We asked our classmates in Year 3&4 to prompt us by making a random squiggle, line or shape on our paper. Then we added more content, detail and colour to turn this mark into a masterpiece.
